First Years Preschool is seeking assistant applicants for all Older Ones, Twos, and Threes classes. Assistants are responsible for working with children, must be a spiritually committed believer possessing active Christian traits and values, and possess a high school diploma. Experience working with children in a childcare setting is preferred.
Job duties include the following:
- Assist teaching staff with instructional tasks.
- Assist students individually or in groups to present or reinforce learning concepts.
- Provide guidance and supervision for children in conjunction with teachers or independently in the classroom or on school grounds.
- Greet children and parents upon their arrival and departure from school.
- Assist in the daily general cleanup of activity areas.
- Carry out discipline in a productive, Christian manner according to documented procedures.
- Attending monthly staff meetings and other called meetings to coordinate program activities.
- Continue professional development through attendance at in-service training programs.
- Diaper changing if working in the Older Ones or Twos classes.
